No Late Fees 

A Blockbuster Inspired Personal Streaming Experience

No Late Fees is a private, “local” first video player that lets you build your own Blockbuster‑style shelf using your own files and links - no accounts, no tracking, no subscriptions. Upload your own video/audio, paste in YouTube videos, Twitch/Kick streams direct video links ending in MP4, MP3, etc and yes even TikToks too! Not just a website - an app too!

Bring the 80s, 90s and 2000s into 2026 and beyond!

Getting Started - Add Your Content
• Click “Upload Videos” to add video or audio files from your device. Most common formats are supported.
• Paste a direct video link into “Play URL” and press play. This works with many web‑hosted videos and popular platforms.

Your content appears instantly in Your Blockbuster Shelf.

Watching & Navigation

• Click any title in Your Blockbuster Shelf to play it
• Use Previous / Next / Clear to move through your lineup
• Use the Search bar or Sidebar to instantly find your content
• The currently playing item is highlighted automatically

Your shelf plays in the order items are added - just like lining up your rentals. Your shelf stays in place so when you refresh or need to come back another time it’s all there. The moon emoji adds a dark mode to give your eyes a rest.

Games

Select Games from the top navigation to access included retro‑style games. They run directly in your browser with no downloads required. We have access to Frogger 2: Swampy’s Revenge hosted from https://retrogames.cc (keyboard + PS4 controller) and I built a hybrid Flappy Bird game that is Blockbuster centric (with ChatGPT assistance). Expanding to a wide library through the end of 2026.

App

No Late Fees work as an app on your phone and your computer, just not in the traditional sense. Instead of going to a “store”, just hit the share button on your browser and “Add To Home Screen” or the Install button on your computer.

Privacy & Ownership

• No Late Fees does not host content
• No accounts, cookies, or tracking
• Nothing is uploaded to a server
• Everything you watch is yours

This is a video player designed to feel personal, intentional, and distraction‑free. No Late Fees is a fan‑made, modern homage to the physical rental era. It is not affiliated with Blockbuster,  any streaming service or copyrighted material.

Sometimes the best experience isn’t infinite choice - it’s a shelf you select. A couple of YouTube videos, Twitch streams, movies, shows, songs and old family video clips. All in one place for your enjoyment and entertainment.

AI Usage Note

This was developed from April 2024-January 2026 by 1 person using ChatGPT, Visual Studio Code and Photoshop. Though AI played a role in creation, there is no AI in or around the final project. This is HTML website code interacting with your browser to give each and every person a raw, individual experience. A pure passion project from a 2017 computer programming college dropout.
